Timothy W. Cooper, MD, FACP, Lt. Col. USAF
Timothy W. Cooper, MD, FACP, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret), joined IDC in 1997. Dr. Cooper, a native Floridian, had an extensive career in the US Air Force, including numerous overseas assignments. He earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences; trained for Internal Medicine at USAF Keesler Medical Center, Biloxi, MS, and in Infectious Disease at Wilford Hall Medical Center, in San Antonio, TX.  Dr. Cooper is certified in Tropical Medicine and Traveler's Health by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), and he also practices Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine.

Dr. Cooper has served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Florida Hospital Altamonte, and is a member of the Leadership Committee. He is a former Infectious Disease Consultant to the Air Force Material Command Surgeon General.  Dr. Cooper is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene.
