Jaime Carrizosa, MD, FACP, FIDSA, has twice been named by Orlando Magazine as Best Doctor for Infectious Disease, most recently in 2006. He received his medical degree from the National University of Colombia, and trained in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia. Dr. Carrizosa is certified in Wound Care and also practices Hyperbaric Medicine. He serves as the current Chairman of the Infection Control committee at Florida Hospital, and is a past President of the Florida Hospital  Medical Staff.

Dr. Carrizosa is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the Infectious Disease Society of America. He is also a member of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, a founding member of the Pan American Infectious Disease Society, and a founding member of the Florida Infectious Disease Society.
