 Dr. Hinestrosa received his medical degree in 1997, from the Instituto de Ciencias de la Salud in Medellin, Colombia. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Geisinger Medical Center of Pennsylvania, and his Infectious Disease Fellowship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC.
As part of his medical education, he conducted medical research and participated in the publication and presentation of several studies.
Since joining Orlando Immunology Center in 2009, Dr Hinestrosa has been active in research as a sub investigator for clinical trials. He is a member of the International Society for Infectious Diseases, The Infectious Disease Society of America and the American College of Physicians. He is also a board certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
